By bus
Vilnius has a well-developed road network throughout the country and the road conditions are better than in other neighbouring cities. The total length of highways, national and regional roads is over 21000 kms, and the total length of all the roads is more than 67000 kms. The bus station is near the main railway station at Sodu 22. There are busses to cities including Berlin, Gdansk, Kaliningrad, Minsk, Moscow, Prague, Riga, Tallinn, Vienna and Warsaw and also to all major Lithuanian towns. The main operators are Eurolines and Ecolines.
By train
Lithuania has a well-developed rail network. Vilnius is the main centre for rail connections. Vilnius Railway Station is located at Gelezinkelio Stotis, Gelezinkelio 16. The station operates domestic services to Kaunas, other domestic destinations and international destinations (Minsk, Kaliningrad, Moscow and Warsaw). The national railway company is Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai.
By ship
There are 7 international ferry services from Denmark, Kaliningrad (Russian Federation), Germany, Poland and Sweden.
